Hunter and Kathleen Biden finalize divorce

Hunter Biden and his estranged wife, Kathleen Buhle Biden, finalized their divorce in DC Superior Court on Friday, just six weeks after former Vice President Joe Biden’s son announced his relationship with his late brother’s widow.

The Bidens settled “all questions relating to custody, support, property rights, and all other rights” in a confidential agreement that will not be filed in court, legal records show. Kathleen was seeking $20,000 a month in alimony and child support.

Judge Craig Iscoe determined that “there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation of the parties.”

Kathleen will also receive a share of her ex-husband’s retirement benefits, according to their judgment of divorce.

Page Six had exclusively revealed in March that Hunter was in a romantic relationship with former sister-in-law Hallie Biden. Hallie’s husband and Hunter’s older brother, Beau Biden, died of brain cancer in May 2015.

Kathleen and Hunter Biden started living apart in October 2015, according to court papers. Kathleen filed for divorce last year, claiming her husband was “spending extravagantly on his own interests including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs, and gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations.”

After the allegations were made public, the former couple quickly agreed to settle their divorce in private.

They married in 1993 when Hunter was 23 and Kathleen was 24. They have three daughters, ages 23, 18 and 16.

Reps for the parties did not immediately return messages seeking comment.
