A South Florida woman is facing battery charges after police say she tried to bite off another woman’s ear then threw a bike chain at the woman.
Thomasina Paige, 21, is accused of attacking an acquaintance in the parking lot of a Miami Subs in Riviera Beach Sunday, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
Paige was being held on $28,000 bond Thursday, Palm Beach County jail records showed. It was unknown whether she has an attorney.
Riviera Beach Police say Paige and the victim got into a fight in the fast food restaurant’s parking lot and at one point, Paige bit the victim’s ear.
Witnesses tried to break up the fight but Paige still had the victim’s ear in her mouth, police said. After they were finally separated, Paige grabbed a metal bike chain and whipped it at the victim, police said. The victim fought back with a pair of scissors, stabbing Paige.
The next day, Paige and another friend jumped the victim at a park, police said. The victim called police, who were able to track down Paige and her friend.
The victim, who wasn’t charged, told police Paige tried to rip her ear off, police said.
