Miami criminal defense attorney takes on case of mom charged in infant’s death
Even criminals whose actions lead to the most devastating consequences deserve to have their cases heard in a court of law. In these situations, a Miami criminal defense attorney can prove to be an invaluable ally.
According to The Miami Herald, Catalina Bruno allegedly left her 11-month-old son, Bryan Osceola, unattended in the back seat of her 2013 Chevy Impala. The infant eventually died in the closed, hot vehicle, and, as a result, his mother faces a charge of aggravated manslaughter of a child.
The source reports that this wasn’t the first time Bruno had endangered her son. Six months ago she was arrested after state troopers found her drunk and passed out in the driver’s seat of her vehicle with Osceola in the car beside her. She was charged with child neglect and driving while intoxicated. It is unclear at the time whether Bruno had drugs or alcohol in her system on the day that her son died.
“At this point, the only thing that we know is that obviously this was a family tragedy. We’re still investigating the facts of the unfortunate death of a minor child,” the defendant’s Miami criminal defense attorney told NBC6.
