Woman facing several charges may need Miami criminal defense attorney
A Palm Beach Shores woman was charged with resisting officer arrest, contributing to minor delinquency, cruelty towards a child and several other offenses following a party where she allegedly served alcohol to minors. Sources did not report whether she has retained a Miami criminal defense attorney.
According to the local NBC affiliate, police discovered the 39-year-old mother of two partying with 26 other teenagers, including her 17-year-old son. Allegedly officers had to force their way into the apartment, and found two large trash bags filled with liquor and beer, as well as marijuana residue. The mother was also allegedly intoxicated.
Neighbors interviewed following the arrest were stunned by the allegations, but reported hearing noise and partying from the woman’s apartment before. One, Chad Ferranti, who spoke with NBC, said, “It’s pretty surprising. You hate to see that.”
The source did not report whether officers had been called to the apartment before for noise or other violations.
At least one 16-year-old was hospitalized following the incident due to excessive intoxication. The mother faces 26 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, one for each teenager who attended the party.
