HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) – One of two men, shot multiple times outside a Homestead nightclub, has died. Friends identified the victim to CBS4 News as 19-year-old Justin Garcia of Homestead.

A witness tells CBS4 News the shooting took place outside of the El Diamante nightclub and bar, located at 1245 NE 8th Street.

That witness says he heard between 15 to 20 shots fired and saw one of the victims had been shot multiple times.

Both victims were rushed to Jackson South Hospital. One was airlifted and the other taken by ambulance but Garcia died at the hospital.

Friends showed up outside the nightclub in tears Friday morning.

Angelica Rosado, who called Garcia a friend, told CBS4’s Rielle Creighton he was shot 3 times including in the neck, but had nothing to do with a fight inside club that carried out the door.

“He was pretty much outside the club and he was just caught in the fire, don’t know exactly what happened, don’t know who did it,” she said.

Fighting through tears, Rosado described Garcia as the kind of person who was always there for everybody and said she feels for his mother.

“Now she has to bury her son,” she said.

Police say there are no suspects in custody and have no motive for the shooting. The investigation has been turned over to Miami Dade Police.
