Arrest Made in Violent Fort Lauderdale Home Invasion

One of the suspects behind a violent home invasion in Fort Lauderdale just days before Christmas has been arrested, authorities said Thursday.

Junior Cime, 29, was arrested on Jan. 21 at the Palm Beach County Courthouse by detectives from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department Violent Crimes and Career Criminal Unit, the U.S. Marshals Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, authorities said.

Authorities Name Suspect in Sessions Disappearance

Cime is charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm and one count of burglary of an occupied dwelling with a battery. He was being held at the Palm Beach Jail without bond Thursday and it was unknown whether he has an attorney.

According to police, two suspects broke into the home at 607 Southwest 6th Street early on Dec. 23, rummaging through the house and scuffling with the victims before they stole a 2012 white Lexus sedan.

The victims were hospitalized with minor bruises and scrapes, police said.
