MIAMI (AP) — Authorities say the ex-husband of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Cynthia Bailey spent the night in a Miami jail after being arrested on fraud charges.
Peter Thomas was arrested Friday at Miami International Airport on a fugitive warrant.
Miami-Dade police told news outlets the warrant for 58-year-old Thomas is from Louisiana where he is accused of writing fraudulent checks.
No bond has been set.

MIAMI (AP) — The president and vice president of a South Florida construction company have been convicted of defrauding a low-income housing development program.
Court records show that 38-year-old Javier Estepa and 37-year-old Diego Alejandro Estepa Vasquez were each convicted in Miami federal court Wednesday of charges including wire fraud. Sentencing is scheduled for May 10.

A double amputee hiding a gun in his wheelchair allegedly opened fire in the emergency room of a South Florida hospital Wednesday, striking and wounding a doctor.
The FBI said 59-year-old Larry Bon entered the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center in Riviera Beach, Florida at 8:30 a.m. and acted “combative” with staff all day, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - A police report has been filed against a pastor who apparently wrote $27,500 worth of bad checks.
According to a police report obtained by Local 10 News, pastor Eric D. Readon wrote several checks to roofer Jose Macedo.
