Woman killed in hit-and-run crash in Miami Lakes
A woman was killed early Thursday in a hit-and-run crash in Miami Lakes, authorities said.
The incident was reported about 2:30 a.m. in the area of Miami Lakes Drive and Fairway Drive.
Authorities arrived at the scene to find the woman in the street and a McDonald’s bag thrown nearby.
Detectives believe the woman was carrying the bag of food when she was struck by a car, which is believed to be a silver 2009-2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The vehicle is believed to have front and passenger-side damage.
Police said the victim appeared to be in her mid-20s. Her identity was not immediately known.
