Broward Police searching for gunman in fatal Lauderhill McDonald’s shooting
Police are searching for the gunman who left one man dead after a shooting at a Lauderhill McDonald’s on Friday night.
At around 7 p.m., Lauderhill Police responded to reports of gunfire at a McDonald’s restaurant within the Inverness Shopping Center on West Oakland Park Boulevard.
Lauderhill Police spokesman Rick Rocco said there was an altercation between two men in the parking lot.
It’s not clear if the victim, Javaris Domineck, 21, was shot in the parking lot or inside the restaurant, but he was found on the floor inside the McDonald’s. He was taken to Broward Health Center in critical condition where he later died according to Lauderhill Police Department.
One customer told CBS4 he was exiting the restroom when he heard the gunfire.
He said he froze and tried to hide in case the gunman was still in the restaurant.
The shooter was seen fleeing on foot southbound on Northwest 55th Avenue.
