DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Sky 10 was over heavy police activity at Griffin Road, just west of I-95, after Broward Sheriff’s Office stopped the driver of a stolen SUV Friday.
A BSO spokesperson told Local 10 that just before noon, deputies began following a stolen car in Dania Beach. As they tried to stop the vehicle, the driver rammed into a BSO vehicle and the driver fled in the car.
BSO’s Aviation Unit tracked the vehicle from overhead, and a short time later, deputies on the ground were able to stop the driver, following a minor crash. Details of that crash were not specified.
The driver of the stolen car was taken into custody. No injuries were reported in either collision.
