Car catches fire inside repair shop in Lauderhill, flames spread to other vehicles

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Lauderhill firefighters extinguished a large fire that broke out Monday night at an auto repair shop.

The shop is located at 4897 N. University Drive.

An employee at the business told Local 10 News Tuesday morning that a car inside the shop had caught fire.

Video taken from the scene shows that the flames spread throughout the warehouse.

It’s unclear how many vehicles were damaged in all.

Lauderhill Fire Department officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
