Craigslist customer robbed at gunpoint in Davie, police say – Sun Sentinel
Craigslist customer robbed at gunpoint in Davie.
Davie Police are looking for two men accused of robbing a man who wanted to buy cellphones through a Craigslist advertisement.
It happened Wednesday afternoon when the prospective buyer met the two men at Rob’s Family BBQ, 8990 W. State Rd. 84., police said.
Instead of pulling out a cellphone, one of the two robbers pulled out a handgun and took the buyer’s money, investigators said.
Police are circulating surveillance images of the armed robbers.
One photograph shows a man with a light complexion, black wavy hair, short facial hair, with a slim build, wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt or jacket with a large design on the back, and light-colored pants, with a black belt, and a wristband or watch on his right arm. He’s talking on a cellphone while carrying a maroon gym bag with black straps.
The other photo shows a man with a dark complexion and fit build with a goatee, wearing a dark, V-neck T-shirt, possibly khaki pants, a metallic band or watch on his right wrist, and a black baseball cap with a crest or shield on the front.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbers’ identities to call Davie Police at 954-693-8200 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or go online to browardcrimestoppers.org to leave an anonymous tip and become eligible for a $3,000 reward.
