Davie Police Investigating Possible Sexual Assault of Two NSU Students
Davie Police confirm they are investigating a possible rape of two female students both on and off-campus at Nova Southeastern University.
According to a release from the university’s public safety department, the two students report that they were sexually assaulted by two men sometime late Monday night or very early Tuesday morning, between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.
The alleged victims report that they met two men for drinks at an off-campus bar in Davie, and that they believe their drinks were drugged.
The report says the victims say they were then taken to an off-campus apartment by the two men and sexually assaulted. The report indicates that the attack didn’t stop there, as the victims allege that the suspects drove them back to campus and sexually assaulted them again in their dorm rooms.
According to the victims, one of the suspects is a white or Hispanic male, approximately 5’11” with a medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt and dark colored jeans. The other suspect is also a white or Hispanic male with a Mohawk style haircut, approximately 5’11” and thin, wearing a light colored collared shirt and dark jeans, according to the victims. The victims say the suspects drove a Black Nissan 350Z.
University officials were not able to comment on any specifics of the case, but noted that Nova Southeastern University Public Safety and administration are fully cooperating with Davie Police on the ongoing investigation.
