Fort Lauderdale: Gas station robbed after customer returns from restroom – Sun Sentinel
He asked to use the restroom and then robbed the Fort Lauderdale convenience store at gunpoint, police said.
Fort Lauderdale police Friday released surveillance images the man who authorities say robbed the Shell Gas Station at 1144 S. Andrews. Ave. about 11 p.m. Sept. 15.
The man first asked the clerk for the key to the restroom. When he came back and the clerk asked him to return the key, the man pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money, police said.
The gunman fled after getting an undisclosed amount of cash.
The robber is described as about 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 tall about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and red shorts.
The police are still on the hunt for this unrecognized gunman, however, he will be facing serious charges once apprehended.
