Hialeah couple on short crime spree arrested – Miami-Dade – MiamiHerald.com
A young Hialeah couple who police said appeared to be on a crime spree have been arrested along with a third person who allegedly acted as their get-away driver.
The couple reportedly pulled two armed robberies in the last four days, Hialeah police said.
Last Saturday, around 8:30 a.m., Anthony Polanco, 22, and Alexis Feria, 21, were at Hialeah Park Casino and asked a valet, who’ve they know for several years, for a ride home.
Once inside his car, Polanco and Feria forced him at gunpoint to drive back to the casino. Once there, they stole approximately $350 from the valet parking cash box, according to police.
They then reportedly forced the valet to drive to an ATM in Miami and withdraw money. They then tied him up and left him in his car. After Polanco and Alexis drove off in a taxi, the man was able to untie himself and call police.
Then on Tuesday around 10 p.m., Polanco and Feria reportedly robbed a man using an ATM at the Bank of America at 900 West 49th St.
Polanco and Feria took off in a waiting Volkswagen driven by Jordan Graibe, 20, according to police.
Hialeah detectives said they found Polanco and Feria hiding out at the Hialeah Motel at 555 SE Okeechobee Rd. Graibe was located at his Hialeah home.
Polanco and Feria were charged with robbery and kidnapping. Graibe was charged with armed robbery.
