Homeless man stabbed in Miami Beach, police say

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Miami Beach police are investigating after a homeless man was stabbed Friday morning.

The incident was reported at 5:39 a.m. near 1920 West Avenue.

According to Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez, officers arrived at the scene and found the victim with an apparent stab wound.

He was then transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he is listed in critical condition.

Rodriguez said detectives are working several leads to determine what led to the stabbing.

No other details were immediately released.
