Deadly Shooting Overnight Inside Oakland Park Condominium Has Police Search For Those Involved
A double shooting inside a gated community in Oakland Park left one person dead and police searching for those involved.
Broward Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene inside the Lake Pointe condominiums around midnight Friday with reports of shots being fired. Two people were found inside, with the homicide unit being called to the scene.
The man who died was later identified as 30-year-old Eric McNair, of Fort Lauderdale. The other man wasn’t identified.
Officials said the suspect or suspects fled in a white Range Rover, which was later found by detectives.
A surveillance camera located at the entrance gate to the complex is being reviewed for any evidence that can help lead to the capture of those involved. Anyone with tips is asked to call Broward CrimeStoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
