Josh Duggar Quells Divorce Rumors By Getting Cozy With Wife Anna At Jinger Duggar’s Wedding
After marrying in front of 1,000 friends and family in Arkansas on Saturday, several guests waved to Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo as they drove away from church. The small group of partygoers included Jinger’s troubled brother Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna Duggar.
Despite rumors Anna is preparing to divorce her husband of eight years, photographs from the event show the couple standing side-by-side with Josh holding their son Marcus, 3. Sources tell Us Weekly the pair wasn’t just happy in the images but that they also got along during the rest of the big day.
“Josh and Anna seemed happy. He had his arm around her,” a source told the magazine. “They were talking and smiling.”
The couple’s actions come just days after In Touch Weekly (the same publication that discovered Josh sexually molested underage girls as a teen) reported Anna was looking for a way out of the marriage. Following Josh’s scandal, including the reveal in August 2015 that he had been unfaithful, the magazine reported the mother of four was planning to seek out a divorce lawyer in the coming weeks.
An insider close to Anna told the magazine she was hoping to “rid herself of Josh” after friends outside of the Duggar family helped her see she was being treated unfairly by her husband. “Hearing those outside views changed Anna incredibly,” said the source. The Duggars have yet to respond to the rumors.
While one Duggar couple’s fate remains up in the air, another is on cloud nine. After a brief courtship, “Counting On” stars Jinger and Jeremy wed Saturday. Jinger showed off her wedding dress in a video for TLC, telling viewers she is “grateful” for their support and love.
“It’s incredible just being at this place where we’ve prayed about this for so long and just longed for the day that we were married. Now God has given us our hearts desire,” Jinger said.
Jinger and Jeremy will honeymoon in New Zealand and Australia before settling down in Laredo, Texas, where Jeremy works as a pastor. Jinger has previously revealed her plans to join him in the ministry field. As for plans for children, the couple has said they will look “to the Lord to see what he provides.”
