Julie Bowen files for divorce

Julie Bowen has officially called it quits with husband Scott Phillips.

The “Modern Family” star filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Tuesday, according to TMZ. The couple tied the knot in September 2004 and share three children together: a 10-year-old son and twin 8-year-old boys.

News reports earlier this month said that the couple had separated.

It’s unclear if they’ve determined custody or support payments yet, the report said.

Bowen and Phillips were last photographed together at a Harlem Globetrotters game in Los Angeles in February 2017. Phillips didn’t attend the 2016 Emmys with his wife, despite the fact that it was their anniversary.

In 2016, Bowen told Us Weekly she and her husband were “too tired” to break up.

“We watch all these people get married and split up and go, ‘Wait, did they get married after us or before us?’” Bowen told the magazine. “We outlast all these people. The answer: We’re too tired to do anything else!”

It seems like they found the energy.
