Lawsuit over botched hotel renovation may call for Miami breach of contract attorney
If you have entered into a contract and believe that one or more parties involved have not fulfilled their legal obligations, you may have grounds to enlist a Miami breach of contract attorney to secure damages.
Such was the case for the owner of a Miami Beach hotel, the James Royal Palm, after a contractor he hired to perform a $42 million renovation allegedly failed to complete the project and eventually walked away from it entirely.
Online legal news source Law360 reports that the plaintiff, RP Hotel Holdings LLC, is suing Tatro Construction Co. LLC for breach of contract. The organization is also seeking to remove a “claim of lien against the property” made by the contractor that the complaint states is “fraudulently exaggerated.”
In the official complaint filed on July 2, RP Hotel Holdings asserts that it “paid Tatro significantly more than the value of services received, was forced to hire subcontractors to complete the work, incurred increased costs of construction and incurred costs associated with delay in opening and/or utilizing the hotel.”
If a professional relationship has disintegrated to the point where one or more parties cannot resolve a contract dispute directly, a Miami breach of contract attorney may be necessary to prevent further damage and expenses from accruing. These lawyers in Miami are exposed to all manner of contractual agreements, and can work to ensure that the legal rights of each party are upheld.
