At least one member of the rap group, ‘Migos’ was involved in a shooting early Friday morning on Interstate 95 that injured one of their bodyguards.

Florida Highway Patrol says the incident involved two cars on the southbound lanes of I-95 where the interstate meets Interstate 195 in Miami.

“An unknown dark vehicle drove alongside and opened fire, fired several rounds into the van,” Trooper Joe Sanchez told Local 10 News. “There was an exchange of gunfire between both vehicles.”

A member of Migos’ security team, who was riding in a black Mercedes van, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The altercation initially began at Cafe Iguana, located on N. University Drive and Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines.

Firefighters were also called to the scene to clean up diesel fuel. It appears one of the bullets went through the gas tank, causing a leak. According to Sanchez, the van will be transported to a FHP facility to be processed as evidence in the ongoing investigation.

FHP says at least one member of the trio from Atlanta was inside the van with their entourage at the time of the shooting.
