Throughout NBA playoffs season, emotions can run high, which appears to be what happened in Boca Raton on the night of Tuesday, June 18, when a man was arrested for getting into a physical altercation during a San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat game. As anyone who was watching the event can recall, it was intense up to the last minute, and the Heat managed to beat the Spurs in overtime, forcing Game 7.

As the game played went on, the Orlando Sentinel reports that a fight broke out at Duffy’s Sports Grill in Boca Raton. The source states that a Spurs fan was engaged in a “friendly rivalry” with an 11-year-old boy who was cheering for the Heat. The child’s father, 44-year-old Mark Archer, said that he was “getting upset about comments the Spurs fan made to [his] son,” so he began punching the man in the face.

Archer was arrested and charged with battery, says the news outlet.
