Missing 9-year-old boy found

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. –
A 9-year-old boy who didn’t return home from school Tuesday was reunited with his family early Wednesday morning.
Dameon Rogers was last seen about 4 p.m. at North Lauderdale Elementary School at 7500 Kimberly Boulevard.
Early Wednesday, he was brought home by authorities and reunited with his family.
Deputies said he was found just blocks away from the school.
Dameon’s mother, Nicole Rogers, told Local 10 News that she is a single mother and has been struggling to raise her only child.
She said Dameon ran away after he became upset during a parent-teacher conference.
Rogers said authorities told her that her son was found near a convenience store by a garbage man.
She said she plans to continue providing counseling for Dameon.
