MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police officers surrounded a white Mercedes-Benz on Thursday causing temporary traffic delays on Le Jeune Road in Miami-Dade County.

Two unmarked black pickup trucks and three unmarked sports utility vehicles blocked the Mercedes-Benz on the southbound lanes of Le Jeune Road — leaving only one lane open to traffic.

Two police officers in plain clothes, who were wearing bulletproof vests, stood on each side of the car and talked to a driver and a passenger who was wearing a pale neon green mini dress.

The passenger stepped out of the car and briefly talked to two police officers who wore blue jeans and short-sleeve T-shirts. A uniformed police officer also responded.

Shortly before 12 p.m., the officers drove away in their unmarked cars and cleared the traffic backup.

The police officers had followed the driver of the four-door vehicle westbound on the Dolphin Expressway, and the pursuit was related to a human trafficking investigation, according to police scanner traffic.

The information that dispatch received had not been confirmed by a Miami-Dade Police Department spokesperson.
