Possible migrants come ashore in Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Authorities are investigating some kind of incident involving a boat Thursday morning in Pompano Beach.

Sky 10 was above the scene near Atlantic Boulevard shortly after 9:30 a.m. as deputies were detaining one man.

A white boat was spotted nearby pressed against the seawall.

Witnesses say authorities responded to the area as migrants were coming ashore.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the person or people they detained were migrants or any other details about the investigation.
