Woman Charged With Murdering Domestic Partner: Plantation Police
A Plantation woman who is facing a murder charge for allegedly shooting and killing her domestic partner was ordered held without bond Monday.

Michele McCann, 57 was arrested after officers found 59-year-old Jeanine Luciano shot to death at a home at 1085 W. Country Club Circle Saturday night, Plantation Police said. Police said McCann and Luciano had been involved in a domestic dispute that stemmed from an argument over relationships.

When officers arrived at the home, they allegedly discovered a blood-soaked McCann, who told them “It took you long enough. She’s dead,” Broward Circuit Judge John Hurley said in court today.

When asked whether the blood on the clothes was her own, McCann allegedly said she shot the victim, whose body remained in the bathroom, with a rifle that was left on the floor, Hurley said.

McCann, who allegedly admitted several times to shooting the victim, she would not leave me alone. I had no choice.” She also allegedly told officers that she called the victim’s mother to say “I just shot your daughter,” Hurley said.

McCann was taken into custody and was being held without bond Monday. It was unknown whether she has an attorney.
