FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Authorities in Broward County have confirmed that an escaped inmate was taken into custody Wednesday, but not before he led police on a chase through several cities.

AVENTURA, Fla. – A man who was arrested Tuesday after leading police on a chase in Aventura was driving a stolen red minivan with a Tennessee license plate, an arrest report stated.
According to the report, the stolen van was spotted by an officer entering a parking garage at the Aventura Mall on Biscayne Boulevard.

TAMPA, Fla. – An Indiana man has been sentenced to four years and 10 months in federal prison for threatening his ex-wife over several years and mailing a dead rat to her Florida home.
Court records show 57-year-old Romney Christopher Ellis was sentenced Tuesday in Tampa federal court.
