CLEARWATER, Fla. – Gov. Ron DeSantis says the Florida Legislature will be brought together sometime in November for a special session as he asks them to take action to protect Floridians who are facing termination from their employers for not receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

WEST PARK, Fla. – A South Florida woman was nearly killed over two dogs she was selling.
She got into a shootout with three attempted dog robbers, and the entire ordeal was caught on camera. The video was obtained exclusively by Local 10 News.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Confessed killer Nikolas Cruz pleaded guilty Wednesday to murder and attempted murder in connection with the Feb. 14, 2018, school shooting in Parkland that claimed the lives of 17 people.

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A driver smashed their car right into a Miami-Dade home late Monday night.
Local 10 News’ Bridgette Matter arrived to the home in North Miami Beach to find a light-colored sedan had crashed through an exterior wall and into the structure.
The home is located near the intersection of Northeast 183rd Street and 20th Avenue.

FLORIDA CITY, Fla. – A woman was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in Florida City, authorities confirmed.
According to Miami-Dade Police Detective Argemis Colome, Florida City police officers responded to the 200 block of Southwest 344th Street around 4:20 a.m. after receiving reports of a woman being shot.
Colome said officers arrived at the scene to find a Black woman in her 40s suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
