HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A 28-year-old police officer has died after being shot by a suspect in Hollywood, Hollywood Police Chief Chris O’Brien confirmed Monday morning at a news conference.
He has been identified as Officer Yandy Chirino.
According to the police chief, officers responded to the 4000th block of North Hills Drive around 10:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports about a suspicious person in the area.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The FBI is searching for a man who robbed a Chase Bank branch in northwest Miami-Dade on Monday.
The robbery occurred just after 10 a.m. at the Chase Bank at 18575 NW 67th Ave.
According to FBI spokesman Jim Marshall, the man, who was wearing a black hat and black face mask, entered the bank and demanded money from an employee.

MIAMI – Miami police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning in Midtown, leaving two women injured.
The shooting was reported around midnight in the area of Northeast First Avenue and 32nd Street.
